Terms of use

Please read these before relying on anything on this site.

Last updated: October 2026

Information only

Flood.global displays public flood information from FEMA, the National Weather Service, NOAA and the U.S. Census Bureau, along with general guidance. It is not an official source of flood warnings, and a flood zone shown here is not an official flood zone determination. Data may be delayed, out of date, incomplete or unavailable at any time.

For safety decisions, use weather.gov and follow instructions from local officials. For insurance, lending or building decisions, use FEMA's Flood Map Service Center, your community's floodplain manager, a licensed insurance agent or your lender.

Accuracy

Flood maps show estimated risk, not a guarantee. Areas outside high-risk zones can and do flood. Address locations are approximate, so a result near a zone boundary may not match your building. River forecasts are predictions and can be wrong. Guides are general information, not legal, insurance or professional advice. We provide the site as is, without warranties of any kind.

We link to official sources such as FEMA and the National Weather Service. We aren't responsible for the content or availability of other websites.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Flood.global isn't liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content.

Our content

The text, tools and design of this site belong to Flood.global. Flood map data, alert text and river data from U.S. government agencies are public information.
